About
Hello! Welcome to Postcard Travel By Tara. I decided to put my love for travel to good use and I'm here to help you plan your trip. Whatever the reason you’re traveling, I’ve got you covered. Even if you only need to book a hotel because you’re heading to your family reunion in Petoskey, and you refuse to sleep in your Great Aunt Tallulah’s guest room because it smells like mothballs.
Go ahead and poke around, find what you need and then contact me. I also have a blog where I share my travel experiences from around the world and my home state of Iowa. Hopefully, they help inspire you to take a trip or help you get an idea of what you want to do on your future holiday.
Want to know a little bit about who you are booking your trip with? I answered 10 random questions to help you get to know me, Tara Thornton.

I went to Central College in Pella, Iowa where I played soccer and majored in Athletic Training. After getting my ATC and working in a physical therapy clinic I realized that was not the path for me. I went back to college at Mercy College of Health Sciences and go my BSN. I was able to do my preceptorship during school in the NICU and absolutely loved it. I was able to get a RN position in the NICU after graduation and have worked there for 15 years! I am still learning new things and enjoy it!
